Potty training update...

Well, day one of our "let her run naked" experiment proved to be what everyone said it would be...spent cleaning up little potty accidents. Five to be exact. Day two we only cleaned up two. We are now on day three and are looking forward to perhaps none?

I need some advice from anyone of you willing to give it. What do you do at night for those children who NEED to go to bed with some water? It makes the little one want to tinkle in the middle of the night, but she has always needed water at night. *sigh* Do we have to train her to get up in the night to go? I don't recall having this exact problem with any other children, not to say that we didn't, just that I don't remember. Thanks for any words of wisdom.

PULL-UPS!!!!! some of my kids wore them at night until they were 4 or 5. I think it is better than the humiliation of wetting the bed or the constant sheets that need to be washed. But you have to have a rule that they are only for at night or long van trips :) I consider a child potty trained if they go all day and make an effort at night. So that is my big advice:)

We used pull-ups at night for a while with ours too. Our older son learned to control himself quicker than did his brother, who wore pullups off and on until he was about four and a half. He'd still have an occasional accident every once in a while for some time.
Our problem with the younger child is that he postpones using the restroom because he doesn't want to stop whatever he's doing, so by the time he does go he's so busy dancing and panicking that he barely makes it (or sometimes not). He's too worried he will miss out on something while on potty break.
